Below that, the 50/1.4 asph has more micro contrast and less focus shift. Sharpness: Hard to see significant differences at f/5.6 and above.Focusing: Can be stiff on the 50/1.4 asph due to the floating element and poor Leica QC.Flare: The 50/1.4 asph is less flare prone than the 50/2 v5.CA: The 50/1.4 asph has less CA than the 50/2 v5.I find that of the 50/1.4 asph a bit too sharp around f/2.8. No M camera can give clean 6400 let alone 12800 iso for now so f/2 can be too slow in low light especially on moving subjects. f/1.4 vs f/2: Matter of tastes, pictures and cameras. When I see comments about clean shots at ISO 6400 & 12800, I wonder how we managed when 400 ASA was considered fast, 800 on the edge and 1600 almost suicidal. My 50 ‘lux has a smooth action when focusing, might be worth having yours checked.
